Best Chapsticks For Tweens: Summer Fridays, Laneige, Vaseline, & Aquaphor Reviews

By Mauve Juliette

Okay, let's talk about something everyone needs, chapstick. Yep, whether you’re a boy or a girl, it doesn’t matter, chapstick is a MUST, especially when winter hits.  Dry lips are the worst, especially in winter. So I decided to test some of the most popular chapsticks and lip balms online to find out which ones actually keep your lips soft, glossy, and hydrated (or at least look cute while you're trying) and which ones that are worth buying for tweens and teens.

Summer Fridays Chapsticks Review

I’ve got TWO Summer Fridays chapsticks, and I love them! They’re shiny and glossy, which is great if you're into that super glossy lip look. They’re not crazy hydrating, but they do keep your lips looking fresh, not cracked, and smells delicious. If you’re a lip gloss fan, this is for you. I’d give it a solid 7/10.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Review

Okay, listen up, Laneige is literally the best. It’s like putting butter on your lips. It is so smooth, soft and it’s vegan. This one has so many beauty awards, so you know it’s gotta be good. If you want soft lips that feel like heaven, you NEED to try Laneige. 10/10.

Vaseline Review

Vaseline is, like, the OG of chapsticks. You can find it at any drugstore, and trust me, it’s super hydrating. On top of working for your lips, it can be used for dry skin or even as makeup remover. The only thing I don’t love is that it’s not in a squeeze tube, so you have to dip your fingers in it, which is kinda annoying. But still, it’s a solid 9/10.

Aquaphor Lip Repair Review

So, here’s the thing, I actually haven’t tried Aquaphor yet, but  everyone swears by it. I’ve seen sooo many people use it, and apparently, it’s AMAZING for dry lips, especially when they’re, like, cracked and peeling. If your lips are in desperate need of recovery, Aquaphor is the way to go. Since I haven’t tried it, I’ll give it an 8/10 based on what I’ve heard. But I’m definitely gonna pick some up soon.

Which Chapstick is best for teens?

So there you have it, the lowdown on my favourite chapsticks out there. If you’re looking to protect your lips in the winter, or keep them smooth for the summer you can’t go wrong with these. Stay hydrated, stay glossy, and keep those lips on point.

Tip: Always patch test new skincare products, and ask a parent or dermatologist if you have sensitive skin, eczema, acne, or irritation.
