By: Mauve Juliette van Marle Looking for a refreshing summer drink that is fruity, delicious, and super easy to make? This Dragonfruit Mango Summer Drink is SO good! No more endless trips to Starbucks, you can try this drink instead. It is bright, colourful, naturally sweet from the fruit and mango juice, and perfect for a hot summer day.   The best part is that it isn't too sweet! You can add a little cranberry juice if you want an extra fruity flavour, but it is totally optional. It also looks so pretty and aesthetic if you ask me in a clear glass, especially with the pink dragon fruit and golden mango pieces that top it off. This would be perfect for a summer hangout, or just when you want a fun drink at home! Ingredients Dragonfruit Mango juice Ice Instructions (Makes 2 drinks) 2 cups ice 2 cups mango juice   2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice ¼ cup cranberry juice (optional) ½ cup fresh dragon fruit, cut into small pieces and placed at the bottom   ½ cup fresh mango, c...

Top 5 artists and groups I can't stop listening to this summer

Image
By: Mauve Juliette van Marle I LOVE music! I have posters, books, magazines, and so much more featuring my favourite artists, groups, and singers. This month I've been listening to tons of music, so I thought it would be nice to share my top 5 favourite artists and groups that have been on repeat lately. Let's get into it. 1. Olivia Rodrigo When Olivia Rodrigo released her new album, I went straight to Spotify that morning and listened to it right away! I had been counting down the days until it came out, and her new album You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love definitely did not disappoint. I instantly fell in love with it! Her lyrics, voice, and music are all amazing, and she's easily been my most-played artist this month. I can't wait to go see her concert not once but TWICE in October! 2. KATSEYE Ever since KATSEYE released their new song "Animal," I've had it on repeat! They also have so many other great songs like "Gabriela," "Touch...

Image
By: Mauve Juliette van Marle Curly hair is super pretty, but it can also be super hard to take care of! Frizz, tangles, and bedhead can make curly hair feel like a lot of work sometimes. The good news is that having a good curly hair wash day routine can make a big difference! If you're wondering how to take care of curly hair, these easy steps can help keep your curls soft, bouncy, and healthy. 1. Shampoo The first step in any curly hair routine is shampoo. When you're choosing a shampoo for curly hair, look for one that's sulfate-free because it's gentler and helps keep your curls from drying out. 2. Condition Next, apply conditioner to the middle and ends of your hair. Use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to gently detangle your curls. Leave the conditioner in for about 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it out. If you're shopping...

7 Bag Essentials I Never Leave Home Without

Image
By Mauve Juliette van Marle Have you ever wondered what someone always carries in their bag? Well, if my bag ever got lost, there are at least seven things that I honestly never leave home without! Seriously, if you don’t see these things in my bag, you should probably take me to the doctor because I’m most likely sick! From lip balm and scrunchies to fidgets and hand sanitizer, here are my top seven tween bag essentials that you will never catch me without. 1. Fidgets If you really know me, you already know that I never leave the house without my fidgets! They’re always in my bag because they help keep my hands busy. Instead of biting my nails to the bone, I just play with my fidget. My nail-biting history is… let’s just say… pretty scary. You should check out my NeeDoh post later too! 2. Mini Mirror I think every tween or teen should have a mini mirror in their bag!
